In 2016, I began traveling the US in a fleet of vintage camper trailers turned into mobile recording studios called Mobile Incubators. I pulled up to campuses, festivals, parks, co-working spaces, and incubators to give advice, record podcasts and documentaries. And along the way and in between I hit up every alley, street corner, basement, attic, and all the raw, unfiltered third spaces where creativity thrives.

These stories became documentaries, podcasts, and photo essays on the diversity of creative ecosystems.

DARLA & CORA

The original Mobile Incubator, “Cora” is a 1957 Shasta camper trailer towed by “Darla”, a matching 1970 Ford F100. You can find Cora and Darla patrolling the vastness of the America’s heartland from the Great Lakes, to the Great Plains, from the Rockies to the Mississippi.

AMBER THE AMBULANCE

“Amber the Ambulance” is a 1973 Ford E300 that served in the Canadian military. Able to navigate tight streets and plazas, you can find her up and down the East Coast from the Deep South, to New England, through Appalachia, all the way to the Mississippi River.

VAL & TALI

“Tali” is a 1962 Aladdins “Sultans Castle” camper, towed by “Val”, a 1978 Ford F250 “Camper Special”. Able to go up and down rough terrain, you can find Val & Tali meandering between the West Coast and the Rockies, from San Diego to Seattle.
